MACBOOK PORT FAIL

I prefer using a mouse over that poopie touch pad thing but I guess I need a five foot cord when using a MacBook. Why would they only put the ports on the left side?! Why not the back so it's even for both lefty's and righty's? Apple, I love you, but sometimes you're pretty retarded.

WAIVE YOUR RIGHTS WITH YOUR FLAG

Now that I've gotten more into screen printing, I've decided to push more into this medium. I feel like it gives what would normally just be printed out of a machine, a higher artistic worth. It's very time consuming and labor intensive, requiring a considerable amount of attention to detail. I believe this helps push my work even further into the fine art field as I not only conceptualized this work but I hand made the final piece myself.

My third printmaking work is titled "Waive Your Rights With Your Flag." There are eight different colors in use on this piece and each was painstakingly hand printed on high quality paper from the French Paper Company which I then personally trimmed down to 11x14.  Below is the final print and a few shots of the printing process. This is a limited edition print series and there are only a three left out of eighteen. If you're interested in purchasing one please contact me soon before supplies run out as this will never be reprinted.

JASON ALDEAN'S 1994 = SHIT

Country has hit an all time low with this turd of a song. All those years of rednecks hatin' on hip-hop and now they want to jock their style? Hillbillies trying to act gangsta. *sigh*

FATTY WORM

Look at the size of this worm that I found in our garden! That's Nicky's hand in the green glove and my son's fat little finger in the upper left corner. We watched him wiggle along for a while then I lovingly released him in my vineyard.

The End.

NERDY TYPOGRAPHY SHIRTS

For my Typography class this semester I designed a few shirts that were related to typographic terms and typefaces. I kept them extremely basic and simple in comparison to my other works. My two best were based around two of my favorite fonts, Helvetica and Futura.

Now keep in mind, these are quite nerdy and odds are, only an art dork will truly appreciate them. But if you're a like-minded geek and love type as much as I do, I'm actually going to be screen printing these onto shirts and offering them up for sale within the next couple of weeks. The plan is to print them on a wide range of colors instead of just plain old white. I'm also thinking about making a couple limited edition poster prints out of these too. Anyways, I'll be sure to post an update when I have stuff ready, so stay tuned and feel free to hit me up if you're interested!

Now that I'm done shamelessly promoting my goods, check 'em out!

LITTLE TRAMP

I just saw a little girl walking to her middle school with stiletto heels on and a tiny ass skirt. I immediately realized that she doesn't need a guidance counselor seeing as her parents have already let her start down the exciting career path of hooker.

SARAH'S FATE

This semester in my Typography class, we had a few moderately entertaining projects. One of which was where we had to design our own modular type and use it in a poster with some sort of quote/ I sketched out about 20 different styles and narrowed it down to my favorite two which were both pretty geometric. I finally decided to go with the blocky type as it had more order, structure and it was easier to read. Anyways, here are the final two typeface concepts.

After our typefaces were done, we had to find a quote to use along with it. For some reason I immediately associated the Terminator with my font. They're both solid, cold and accented by miniscule amounts of red, mine with little squares and Terminator with its ominous red eyes. The quote that always stands out the most is one I really like.
"The future is not set, there is no fate but what we make for ourselves."
I knew I wanted to use an accompanying image so I began by using one of the terminator. As cool as the ole termi' looked, it didn't fit as well seeing as it was a human who recited this phrase. So I then went with the bad ass version of Sarah Connor from T2 and she worked quite well. Anyhow, check it out!

P.S. I just noticed that I haven't posted anything for almost three full months! I do apologize and I'll try not to let the busyness of college, art projects, family and good old fashioned laziness keep me from posting new work and randomness.
