ROT: HORSE APPLE

The osage orange, hedge/horse apple or Maclura pomifera is todays random object for this Thursday. This little, brain textured fruit is sitting in my study not two feet from my computer. Why do I have a deciduous tree fruit sitting in my office you might ask? Because they are supposed to deter spiders. I don't think it works though because I have seen a spider sitting on it. I'm guessing who ever started that wives tale was full of crap.


P.S. Yes, I technically posted this on Friday due to forgetfulness. And yes, I changed the date to Thursday. This is my blog after all. :P
